Growth Themes and Review Feedback

Growth helps you compare themes from review feedback you have explicitly confirmed. It does not infer career progress from Git activity or from a manager failing to mention a topic.

When Growth becomes available

1. Finish a Review based on the projects, dates, questions, and evidence you selected.
2. Add what you heard in the review conversation.
3. Confirm the review result.
4. Open Growth to compare the confirmed themes with earlier confirmed reviews.

AI can help synthesize the themes, but they do not enter Growth until you confirm the result.

What a comparison means

• A repeated theme can show where feedback stayed consistent.
• A changed theme can help you inspect what evidence or feedback changed between review periods.
• A missing theme is not proof of improvement. It may simply not have been discussed.

Use the comparison as a prompt to revisit the underlying review and evidence, not as a performance score.

Keep the record grounded

• Confirm only feedback that reflects what was actually said.
• Keep future goals separate from completed-work evidence.
• Add new outcomes to the relevant entries as they happen.
• Use Reviews to preserve the scope and provenance behind each result.
• Use Metrics to inspect follow-through, outcome clarity, corroboration, and entry activity. Entry activity is a memory aid, not an employee score.
